Octoshape plug-in for Mac OS X
Requirements
For the Octoshape plug-in to work, you need Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or later.
The plug-in is a Universal binary that runs on both PowerPC and Intel based Macs.
Easy setup procedure
- Download the .dmg file.
It should mount and launch the installer automatically.
If not, mount the image and launch the contained installer.
- Accept the Octoshape EULA to complete the installation procedure.
The plug-in should launch upon completion. If not, you can launch it from your home directory.
- Once the plug-in is ready this icon appears in the menu bar:

- Now visit our play page and enjoy Octoshape high quality streaming.
(Some streams may use codecs that your system cannot play)

Notes on codecs
Mac OS X does not have native support for Windows Media codecs.
This includes .wmv and .wma files and streams using the ASF-format, which is in wide use on the Internet.
To play files or streams encoded in these formats (with or without the Octoshape plug-in),
you need to get a video player that can handle them.
- Windows Media Player for Mac OS X
- Note that Windows Media Player is only available for PowerPC based Macs.
- Flip4Mac components for the QuickTime player
- Flip4Mac is not a stand-alone player, but a plug-in for the QuickTime player. Available for both PowerPC and Intel based Macs.
- VLC Player
- Note that the VLC Player does not have a browser plug-in which means that you will not be able to se
